    I grew up in Tauranga and spent many holidays at Barkes Corner during my college and university years. I finished my vet training at Massey University at the end of 1993 and started my vet career in small animal practice in Auckland. I moved back to Tauranga with my wife Denise in 2000 and have been working at Barkes Corner since then. 

    Although I enjoy the variation of different animal species and the chance to get out seeing farm animals, my main interest is in companion pet animals (cats and dogs). Over the past few years I have developed a particular interest in medicine and surgery of birds and exotic animals including rabbits, rodents, reptiles and aquarium fish. 

    I live in Pyes Pa with my wife and daughter and small menagerie of pets. Out of work hours I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, woodworking and photography.
